"Ta Lio" is a Kayan word, meaning protection from a serious dangerous thing.

The founder Winnie is working with the backstrap weavers from the Bago region and the Kayan weavers to create traditional Kayan patterns and renew the design "Ta Lio" as a standard shawl using cotton yarn.
