Judith Sinnamon Women's Portraits

Judith Sinnamon, an Australian landscape painter, came with her husband and children to live in Myanmar in 2016.

A graduate of the QCA, and having exhibited in Brisbane for more than a decade, Sinnamon has an ability to capture the intimacy of things. While she was here, Judith chose to paint the incredibly hard-working women of downtown Yangon, who most often came from the other side of the river and walked the streets with their heavy loads.

Each of these women sat as models for the painter and an exhibition was then arranged, where her models were invited to see their portraits and of them liked to see themself. Judith loved our cause of supporting artisans and therefore decided to allow us to sell prints of her original paintings.
