Getting to learn more about the culture of Myanmar through its cuisines and some personal stories with historical background.

The book combines original historical research, family stories and distinctive regional recipes to give a flavour of life and struggles from colonial Burma to contemporary Myanmar.

Bridget Anderson and Stephen Anderson wrote the book by drawing stories about their grandmother including the conversation with her mother, the authors’ great-grandmother.
